It is really interesting that the idea of creating a Knol article has made me take a more structured or formal approach to writing it, something I don’t do on this blog. I have always written in a very informal voice here.  For better or worse.

I think that this is another great example of how the web and the physical world are coming together.

I just took a Flock survey which makes me think I should blog about the problems that I have been having with the browser lately. I can’t get Flash 9 Plugin to work in the browser and I can never get the blog editor to be friendly. Once you post with it, then blogger can’t handle the HTML it uses….

Does anyone else see this?

SO maybe there were so fixes? That is great. I am able to update this blog post from blogger.

Lively

Google has started a SecondLife type virtual world called Lively.  I am loading it now. The avatars in the pictures look really interesting, kind of Tim-Burton-Esc”. It is taking a little time for the “room” to materialize, but still pretty cool.  There is a lot going on. I think they wanted to make sure that it wasn’t like SecondLife.

I am sure this will be the topic on conversation for some time to come in the blogesphere.

I think this did it for me. I soo need this for my mileage log. I just don’t like having a notebook in the car all the time.  I was trying to take a picture of the odometer but that didn’t capture enough information.  This would be perfect.  Just say it into Jott and it gets record to a list.  The reason I can’t do that with my cell now is because I don’t have a cell signal at my house.  Living in rural WV has it’s trials.

That should justify a new iPhone shouldn’t it?  I have already been using Jott for notes from time to time, but this just looks really well done.

I wonder if you it could be integrated to transcribe your voicemail?  That would be cool.

My sister told me about Randy and his lecture. It is such a heart-wrenching story. He was able to have an impact on so many including me. I really want to be a Tigger….  I would recommend that you also read his book that talks a little more about how much he supported his family.

This is a great sign.

TechCrunch

TechCrunch has pitched the idea to create an open source Internet tablet. This is a great idea. I really hope that they can get this to work out.  This would be an exciting tool for anyone, but the educational impact would be large.  There are rumors that Mac is creating a MacAirTouch.  That would be cool as well.  It is also a similar concept to the recently redesigned OLPC.

I’ll be watching this.
